Sharing recent debug notes in case they help someone.
Common pitfalls:
1)Bandwidth and efficiency trade off against size in a way that no matching network can escape.
2)Adding a matching network broadens the match but does not increase the radiation bandwidth.
3)Losses in the matching network can make an electrically small antenna look broadband while radiating little.
4)Report radiation efficiency, not just return loss.
YMMV depending on the project.
