SAW is not "dead" at 5 GHz, but the design space has narrowed.
For n77/n79 duplexers and high-rejection filters, BAW (and XBAR-style Lamb-wave) owns most high-volume sockets because of better Q, power handling, and temperature drift vs classic SAW. SAW still ships where:
1. Cost and BOM pressure beat insertion-loss / rejection (lower-tier Wi-Fi / IoT / some mid-band duplexers with relaxed isolation).
2. The filter is a relatively wide, low-order ladder and the package already absorbs the IL budget.
3. You need a resonator or delay structure that BAW fabs do not quote yet at your volume.
If you share whether this is a handset duplexer, CPE, or infrastructure filter, and the IL/isolation/power targets, people can say whether a SAW quote is still realistic or if you are already in BAW-only RFQ territory.
